We hold sacred God’s Word that every individual is a beloved child of God, made in God’s image and that absolutely nothing can separate us from God’s love.
The worshipping community of Emmanuel United Methodist Church believes that diversity weaves a beautiful tapestry to express our faith. We unconditionally invite and welcome all people into our fellowship regardless of their age, ethnicity, gender identity, marital status, race, sexual orientation or social-economic status.
We acknowledge the harm and exclusion which the church has caused especially, but not exclusively, towards our sisters and brothers who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer. We are committed to the work of reconciliation and pledge to offer loving hospitality providing a safe space to heal, to wrestle with faith, to identify and use your gifts and to experience the unconditional love of Jesus Christ who calls us to stand with those who have been oppressed and cast out of the church for who they were created to be.
